BARC UDC Result Announced. The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has released the official notification for the BARC DAE recruitment 2021 of the following Non-Gazetted posts:
- Stenographer Grade-II and Grade-III
- Upper Division Clerk (UDC)
- Junior Purchase Assistant/ Junior Storekeeper
This is a great opportunity for all the eligible aspirants for which they must work hard and prepare themselves for the upcoming examination. Here is a quick look at the highlights of the BARC DAE Recruitment 2021:
- A total of 74 vacancies have been announced which will be categorically divided.
- The candidate must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 27 years of age as of 27th December 2020 and should have the relevant documents to prove the minimum educational qualifications.
- The BARC DAE selection process comprises two stages viz. Level 1 Test and Level 2 Test. Level 1 will be objective type while Level 2 will be skill-based/descriptive type.
- The exam pattern consists of a total of 200 questions in the Level 1 test and will be for a duration of 2 hours.
- BARC DAE admit card has been released and the written exam is scheduled to be held on 28th February 2021.
- The Pay Band for these posts ranges from Level 4 and Level 6 in the Pay Matrix. Apart from the initial pay, the selected candidates will get other admissible allowances as per Central Government rules.

Level 1 of the written examination for all the posts will be conducted on the same day and at the same time at various centers so the applicants must apply online for BARC DAE Recruitment 2021 for any one post only. The applications can be made in the online mode only. The application form can be submitted successfully only after paying the application fee of Rs. 100/-. Follow the steps below to apply online.

Step 3: Select the post for which you want to apply.
Step 4: Fill in the details that are asked correctly and click on submit.
Step 5: Your login will be created as soon as you submit.
Step 6: Now go to User Action and click on “Click here for Already Registered”.
Step 7: Enter your login details generated in Step 5 and submit.
Step 8: After successful login, click on “Pay Application Fees”.
Step 9: A payment gateway will open with online payment options. Pay the application fees of Rs. 100 using Credit/Debit cards/ Net Banking/ Wallets/ IMPS etc. Secure the fee receipt for further use.
Step 10: Alternatively, candidates can visit the official website and follow Step 2 to Step 9.
*Note- if the application fee is not paid, then the application will be considered incomplete and hence will be rejected.
BARC DAE Application Fee
The BARC DAE Application fee 2021 is Rs.100/- (Rupees hundred only). For candidates belonging to SC/ST, women candidates, ex-servicemen, and PWD candidates, there is no application fee. The application fee once submitted shall remain non-refundable, non-transferable, and can not be held in reserve for any other examination under any circumstances.
BARC DAE Selection Process 2021
The BARC Department of Atomic Energy has announced the selection process for the BARC DAE Recruitment 2021. The BARC DAE selection process consists of two stages: Level 1 is the Objective Test and Level 2 is the Skill Test/Descriptive Test. The candidates who qualify in level 1 will only be able to give the Level 2 examination.
For the post of UDC/JPA/JSK, both level 1 and level 2 examinations will be held on the same day in forenoon and afternoon sessions respectively. For candidates belonging to the General and EWS category, the qualifying standard for level 1 will be 50% marks, while for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates it will be 40%. Only those candidates who qualify according to the said percentage will get their descriptive type answer sheets of the level 2 test evaluated.
For the post of Stenographer (both Grade-II and Grade-III) the skill test will take place on a separate day in Mumbai only. The date, time, and venue for this Stenography test will be notified to the selected candidates later.
Exam Weightage
The final selection of the candidate depends upon the weightage of the two papers. For the post of Stenographer (Both Grade-II and Grade-III), the Level 1 Test has a weightage of 40% and the Level 2 Test has a weightage of 60%.
For the other two posts, that is, for Upper Division Clerk and Junior Purchase Assistant, the selection is based on the marks obtained in the Level 2 Test. For them, the Level 1 Test will only be a qualifying exam to get shortlisted for the Level 2 Test.
Document Verification
After the written examination, the shortlisted candidates will have to produce the required relevant documents in original and submit attested copies of them at the time of document verification in Mumbai. Following is the list of the certificates to be submitted:
- Marksheets to prove the minimum qualifications.
- Proof of the Date of Birth (Either birth certificate or secondary school marksheet)
- Caste certificate of SC/ST candidates which should be issued by the designated authority in the prescribed format.
- Caste certificate of OBC candidates which should be of recent valid date and issued by the designated authority in the prescribed format along with the non-creamy layer certificate.
- Disability certificate of the PWD candidates from the designated authority and in the prescribed format.
- Documents supporting the claim of Economic Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates issued by the designated authority in the prescribed format.
- Discharge certificate from defence service of the ex-servicemen.
- Documents to support the claim of candidates affected by the 1984 riots.
- Certificate regarding the domicile in Kashmir from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 to support the claim of age relaxation.
Induction Training Program for the Post of Junior Purchase Assistant/ Junior Storekeeper
The candidates who are selected for the post of Junior Purchase Assistant/ Junior Storekeeper will have to give a medical test. After the completion of the medical examination, they will be inducted as Trainee for 6 months and will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs. 18,000/- per month. A one-time grant book allowance of Rs. 3000/- will also be provided.
After completing the training period successfully, the candidates will be considered for absorption in the grade of JPA/JSK depending on their performance during training and in the interview after the training.
During the training period and a year after the training, the candidates will not be allowed to apply for any other Govt. Department.
The post and the place of joining will be decided only by the conducting authority.
Bond: The selected candidates will have to execute a bond to complete the training and to serve the Directorate of Purchase & Stores for a period of three years after absorption if they are selected for the post. The candidate who fails to fulfill the conditions of the bond is liable to pay compensation to the government equivalent to the aggregate amount of the stipend received during the period along with interest thereon.

The applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the BARC Department of Atomic Energy will only be allowed to give the examination. So the applicants must carefully go through the post-wise eligibility criteria mentioned below before applying for the BARC DAE recruitment 2021.

The applicant should be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 27 years old as of 27/12/2020 for all the posts.

Facility of Scribe for PWD candidates
PWD candidates with benchmark disabilities, that is, blindness, locomotor disability (both arm affected-BA), and cerebral palsy can avail the facility of scribe/ reader for writing answers on their behalf. To avail this facility, the candidate must produce a certificate as proof that the candidate has physical limitation to write and scribe issued by designated government health care institution from the Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent. However, the following conditions should be met to avail the facility:
- Candidates will have to arrange for the scribe themselves.
- The scribe should not himself/herself be a candidate for the post/ exam for which the candidate has applied.
- The qualification of the scribe must be at least one step below the qualifications of the candidate.
- The details of the scribe must be submitted by the candidate before the examination. The scribe should produce a valid id proof in original at the exam centre.
- For every hour of the examination, the candidates with scribe assistance will get a compensatory time of 20 minutes. So if the examination is of 2 hours, the compensatory time will be 40 minutes.

The level 1 exam will have multiple-choice questions. The medium of examination will be both Hindi and English, except for Part A, whose questions will be only in English. There will be a negative marking according to which 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The dates for the BARC DAE examination 2021 has been out. However, the aspiring candidates should not wait for the dates to be released and should already start their preparations. Given below are a few tips, that may be useful for you while you prepare for the upcoming examination.
Level 1 Test
- The candidates should first go through the exam pattern and the prescribed syllabus for the post they have applied for. Once you are familiar with the exam pattern it is easy for you to know how and where to start your preparations from.
