Bank of Baroda is going to release the official notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers in Junior Management Grade/Scale I. A total number of 600 vacancies were released for the previous year's recruitment cycle. This year, more vacancies are expected to be released.

  • For the BOB PO, the aspiring candidates will have to undergo a selection process, qualifying in which they will have to indulge in a 9 months Post Graduate Certificate in Banking and Finance course in Baroda Manipal School of Banking.
  • This course consists of a 9 months on-campus program.
  • Once the candidates have completed this course, they will be awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Banking and Finance and thereafter will be offered an appointment for Probationary Officers in different branches of Bank of Baroda all across the country.

  • Step 1: Click on the direct link given above or log on to Bank of Baroda Official Website.
  • Step 2: If you have logged to the official website, Click on Career’s Page.
  • Step 3: Register yourself with an active Email ID and contact number. Thereafter candidates will have to set a password. Candidates who don’t have an email id are advised to create one right before applying. 
  • Step 4: Candidates should scan their photograph and signature, ensuring that both the photograph (4.5cmX3.5cm) and signature adhere to the required specifications. You can use the PrepForSure Editing Tool in case you need to resize your documents. 
  • Step 5: Fill in the application form carefully and thoroughly as there would be no changes made once the form has been submitted. 
  • Step 6: Now click on the “Final Submit’ button. 
  • Step 7: Candidates must note down the credentials somewhere safe as this will be required in the future. 
  • Step 8: In the next step, candidates will be required to pay the application fees.
  • Step 9: Keep the application receipt print out for future reference.

The candidates will have to submit a fee as they are applying for the BOB PO recruitment. The fees might be different as per the candidate’s category. BOB PO Eligibility 

Candidates can check out the BOB PO Eligibility criteria before they fill the application form for the recruitment process. The eligibility criteria are discussed below:

Educational Qualification

A Degree (Graduation) with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. 

Nationality

A candidate must be either 

i) a Citizen of India or

ii) a subject of Nepal or 

iii) a subject of Bhutan or 

iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. or 

v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

BOB PO Selection Process

Candidates aspiring for the Bank of Baroda PO will have to undergo a complete selection process. The selection process comprises two stages. BOB PO Exam Pattern 

The Online Examination of the BOB PO will have objective type as well as descriptive type questions. The objective type questions will be asked from Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The descriptive type question will be asked from English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

  • 1/4th negative marking for each wrong answer.
  • Each section has a specified cut off mark and the candidates are required to score above that.

BOB PO Admit Card

The BOB PO Admit Card will be issued to the candidates who have successfully submitted the application form as well as successfully paid the application fee. The admit card contains various information like personal details, date and time of examination, BOB PO Exam Centre, etc. It is expected that the admit card will be released a few days before the scheduled date of examination. 

BOB PO Salary 

The BOB PO Salary structure attracts a lot of candidates for recruitment. The pay scale Rs. 23700-980×7/30560-1145×2/32850-1310×7/42020. Also, A newly recruited PO will have a basic pay of Rs. 23,700/- and after one year, he/she will get an increment of Rs 980. This increment will be done 7 times, until the basic pay reaches Rs. 30560. After which the candidate will be eligible for an increment of Rs 1145 for two more years. After they reach a salary of Rs. 32850 after the two years, the increment will increase to 1310 for the next 7 years till his/her salary reaches Rs. 42020/-. In addition, the probationary officers are also eligible for many other allowances such as DA, HRA, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, Accident Insurance, and LTC, etc.

BOB PO Cut Off

The BOB PO Cut Off will be released once the recruitment exam has been conducted. The cut off marks for the online examination will be released on the official website. The cut off list for the year 2020-21 is not out yet. In the meantime, the candidates can check the cut off from 2017 given below:
