BPSC AE Answer Key was released on 22nd November 2022. This was the provisional answer key for Advt. No. 07/2020. Objections against the same were going to be accepted till 30th November 2022. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) had released a recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil) in the Urban Development & Housing Department Bihar for the 2020 cycle. Expected details of the BPSC AE Recruitment have been provided in this article. These details are based on the minutes of the previous exam cycle.

  • Exam Schedule had been released on 1st November 2022 for BPSC AE Exam (advt no 07/2020) and the admit cards for the same has been released on 3rd November 2022.
  • The BPSC released the provisional answer keys for all the subjects and all the sets for advt no 03/08/09/2020. 
  • There were a total of 286 vacancies to be filled under the 2020 BPSC AE Recruitment.
  • The Written Test consisted of of two parts i.e. Part-I (Compulsory) and Part-II (Optional i.e. either Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical).

25th October 2022: BPSC AE Provisional Answer Keys Out!

The board released the BPSC AE provisional answer keys. This is in reference to the advt no. 03/2020, 08/2020 and 09/2020. The candidates can download the PDFs from the below table. The candidates could raise objections and send the objections to the commission's office in a way that it reached on or before 4th November 2022.

6th October 2022: BPSC AE Exam Schedule & Admit Card Release Date Out!

The BPSC has released the exam schedule for AE whose exam is scheduled on 13th & 14th October 2022. This is with reference to Advt. No. 03/08/09/2020. The exam will be held in three sittings. First sitting will be from 10 to 11 A.M., second sitting will be from 11:30 to 12:30 P.M., and third sitting will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Also, note that the admit cards for the same will be out on 7th October 2022.

1st October 2022: BPSC AE Exam Dates, List of Eligible & Ineligible Candidates

The BPSC has rescheduled the exam for AE Recruitment through Advt. No. 07/2020. The examination will now take place on 10th and 11th November 2022. The commission has also released the list of eligible and ineligible candidates for Advt. Nos. 03/2020, 08/2020, and 09/2020. BPSC AE 2023 Online Application Process

Applications are expected to be accepted online only. The steps to apply for the aforementioned recruitment (2020 cycle) have been given below. The application process for the 2023 cycle are expected to be similar to that of the 2020 cycle.

BPSC AE Eligibility Criteria 2023

Before applying for the Bihar PSC AE posts, candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria required for the posts. BPSC had released certain eligibility conditions for the Assistant Engineer posts for the 2020 cycle. These criteria have been listed below. It is expected that the eligibility criteria for the upcoming cycle will be similar to those of the bygone cycle.

Age Limit (As on 1st August 2019)

Educational Qualification

For Civil Engineering

  • Candidates had to have a full-time degree or equivalent in the Civil branch from a recognized University/Institution.

For Mechanical Engineering

  • Candidates were required to have a full-time degree or equivalent in Mechanical branch from a recognized University/ Institution.

For Electrical Engineering

  • Candidates needed to possess a full-time degree or equivalent in the Electrical branch from a recognized University/Institution.

For Electronics Information and Public Relations Department

The candidate had to have completed B.E/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

BPSC AE 2023 Expected Selection Procedure 

The BPSC AE Selection Procedure 2023 is expected to be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the written test. The written test is expected to have two parts. It is expected that Part-I will be compulsory for all the aspirants while Part-II will be optional i.e. candidates can opt for either Civil/Mechanical/Electrical subjects.

BPSC AE Electronics Selection Procedure

It is expected that the selection process for the BPSC AE Electronics post will depend on the qualifying marks of their 10th,12th , graduation and post-graduation mark sheets. Total marks for the selection process is expected to be of 85 marks in which a weightage of 10 marks will be allotted for 10th class marks and 12th Classmarks whereas 55 and 10 marks will be allotted for graduation and post-graduation marks of final year mark sheet.The detailed distribution of marks has been mentioned below.

BPSC AE Exam Pattern 2023 (Expected)

BPSC is one of the most reputed government organizations in the country. The position of Assistant Engineer is also a multidimensional role with exciting growth opportunities. To get recruited as the Assistant Engineer, candidates need to take a written examination. The written examination for the 2023 cycle is expected to have 4 compulsory sections and 2 optional sections. General English, General Hindi, General Studies and General Engineering Science were compulsory sections, for 100 marks each for the previous exam cycle. Civil Engineering 1 and 2 were optional.

BPSC AE Admit Card 2023

The Admit card is an important document to get entry into the examination hall. The BPSC AE Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website. No hard copies were sent to the candidates for the 2020 cycle. The steps to download the Admiit Card for the 2020 cycle have been given below. BPSC will release the AE Exam 2023 cut off marks along with the result after the written test. Cut off marks are the minimum qualifying marks needed by the candidate to get shortlisted for the next phase. BPSC has mentioned the minimum qualifying marks needed by the candidates to get selected.
