The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) had released a recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil) in the Urban Development & Housing Department Bihar for the 2020 cycle. The board released the BPSC AE provisional answer keys. This is in reference to the advt no. 03/2020, 08/2020 and 09/2020. The candidates can download the PDFs from the below table. The candidates could raise objections and send the objections to the commission's office in a way that it reached on or before 4th November 2022.

The BPSC has released the exam schedule for AE whose exam is scheduled on 13th & 14th October 2022. This is with reference to Advt. No. 03/08/09/2020. The exam will be held in three sittings. First sitting will be from 10 to 11 A.M., second sitting will be from 11:30 to 12:30 P.M., and third sitting will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Also, note that the admit cards for the same will be out on 7th October 2022.

1st October 2022: BPSC AE Exam Dates, List of Eligible & Ineligible Candidates
The BPSC has rescheduled the exam for AE Recruitment through Advt. No. 07/2020. The examination will now take place on 10th and 11th November 2022. BPSC AE Eligibility Criteria 2023
Before applying for the Bihar PSC AE posts, candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria required for the posts. BPSC had released certain eligibility conditions for the Assistant Engineer posts for the 2020 cycle. These criteria have been listed below. It is expected that the eligibility criteria for the upcoming cycle will be similar to those of the bygone cycle.

Educational Qualification
For Civil Engineering
- Candidates had to have a full-time degree or equivalent in the Civil branch from a recognized University/Institution.
For Mechanical Engineering
- Candidates were required to have a full-time degree or equivalent in Mechanical branch from a recognized University/ Institution.
For Electrical Engineering
- Candidates needed to possess a full-time degree or equivalent in the Electrical branch from a recognized University/Institution.
For Electronics Information and Public Relations Department
The candidate had to have completed B.E/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
BPSC AE 2023 Expected Selection Procedure
The BPSC AE Selection Procedure 2023 is expected to be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the written test. The written test is expected to have two parts. It is expected that Part-I will be compulsory for all the aspirants while Part-II will be optional i.e. candidates can opt for either Civil/Mechanical/Electrical subjects.
BPSC AE Electronics Selection Procedure
It is expected that the selection process for the BPSC AE Electronics post will depend on the qualifying marks of their 10th,12th , graduation and post-graduation mark sheets. Total marks for the selection process is expected to be of 85 marks in which a weightage of 10 marks will be allotted for 10th class marks and 12th Classmarks whereas 55 and 10 marks will be allotted for graduation and post-graduation marks of final year mark sheet.The detailed distribution of marks has been mentioned below.

BPSC AE Exam Pattern 2023 (Expected)
BPSC is one of the most reputed government organizations in the country. The position of Assistant Engineer is also a multidimensional role with exciting growth opportunities. To get recruited as the Assistant Engineer, candidates need to take a written examination. The written examination for the 2023 cycle is expected to have 4 compulsory sections and 2 optional sections. General English, General Hindi, General Studies and General Engineering Science were compulsory sections, for 100 marks each for the previous exam cycle. Civil Engineering 1 and 2 were optional.
