Physics	A candidate should have a good academic record with a minimum of 55% marks in the Master's Qualification or equivalent in Physics. Distance Mode/Open University qualification is eligible.
Mechanical Engineering	B.E/B.Tech/B.S/B.Sc (Engg) and M.E/M.Tech/M.S or integrated M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. However, Distance Mode/Open University qualification is not eligible.

Age (As on 1st August 2022)

Candidates should not be less than 22 years of age. However, there is no upper age limit for this post.

Bihar Assistant Professor Selection Process

BPSC may or may not conduct the written test for the post of Assistant Professor. The Commission reserves the right to conduct the written test as & when required. The selection process is almost the same for all streams however there may be a slight difference in between the posts for Engineering and Non-Engineering subjects.
