Central Reserve Police Force ( CRPF), comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Almost every year it releases notifications for the post of Sub-Inspector. It is expected that soon CRPF will release the notification
- So far, the CRPF SI selection process is divided into four stages: Stage I( PET/PST), Stage II( Written Examination), Stage III ( Trade Test /Skill Test & Document Screening), and Stage IV(Medical Test).
- This year it is expected to have a vacancy of 183+ or more than last year’s vacancy.
- Candidates after completing their 12th are eligible to apply for the exam.
- Applicants can visit the official website and download the notification for the same once it is uploaded by the organization. Basic information regarding syllabus and exam pattern is mentioned in the below sections.
- Applicants need to qualify for all the stages to be eligible for final selection.
Last year the notification was released in May with around 183 vacancies. This year also a similar number of vacancies are expected to be released by the organization. CRPF SI Vacancy 2022 (Expected)
As the notification for 2022 is not yet released but it is expected that there will be a total of around 183 vacancies, including all other posts as well. Last Year there were 183 vacancies released in CRPF SI Recruitment 2020. Total vacancies are divided into both reserved and unreserved categories. Applicants should have all the necessary documents to claim.

CRPF SI Application Form 2022
As the latest notification is not out but once the notification is out, candidates need to apply for the CRPF SI Exam through Offline mode only. Go through the steps mentioned below to know about the offline mode:
Step 1: Go through the official notification of CRPF SI Recruitment carefully, once it is available.
Step 2:Candidates need to download the Application Form available on the notification.
Step 3:Then carefully fill in all the details and attach all the relevant documents that were asked for in the notification as no correction will be allowed after applying.
Step 4:Then submit the application form through post or directly to the CRPF office before the last date of submission.
Step 5:Keep a scanned copy of the filled application and all the attached documents for future reference
Step 6:The organization will inform the candidate for ensuring their submission of the application.
CRPF SI Examination Fee (Expected)
As expected, candidates need to submit the examination fee along with their filled Application form through Indian Postal Orders and Bank Drafts only. The fees structure is different for different categories and it is tabulated below to give an idea of it:

CRPF SI Selection Process 2022 (Expected)
So far, the selection process of CRPF SI consists of 4 stages which are mandatory to qualify the candidates for final selection. Similar way, this year the selection procedure of CRPF SI 2022 is also expected to have 4 stages as mentioned below:
- Stage I– Physical Standard Test ( PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test ( PET): This is the first stage of the selection process for which candidates will be issued admit cards and it will be conducted at a designated recruitment center. In this stage, candidates will be identified and screened for Physical standards like height and weight measurements. Candidates who will not match the standards will be disqualified and these are qualifying as no marks will be carried for this.
- Stage II-Written Examination: Candidates who will qualify for PST / PET will be issued admit cards for Written Examination. It has 2 parts of 50 marks each for 2 hours. Questions will be of 10th and 12th level in an Objective pattern. Candidates need to qualify for the cutoff decided by the organization.
- Stage III-Trade Test/ Skill Test and Screening of Documents: It is mandatory to qualify both the written examination and Trade Test separately for further processing. It will be qualifying in nature for 20 marks. The test includes a Practical test, Knowledge of equipment, and Work experience. Screening of Documents will be done at the time of the Trade test. Cut-off marks in the Trade Test will be declared which one has to cross for selection.
- Stage IV– Medical Examination: It is the last stage of selection where candidates were checked to ensure the medical standards set by the organization. Eligible candidates will be declared either as FIT or UNFIT.
CRPF SI Eligibility 2022 (Expected)
As mentioned earlier that the latest notification is yet to be released. But we can expect similar eligibility criteria for this year as well. So, The expected eligibility criteria for CRPF SI 2022 is mentioned below:
A.Nationality
The applicant must be either –
- Citizen of India or,
- A subject of Nepal, Bhutan or
- A Tibetian refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with an intention of settling permanently in India or,
- Indian Origin but has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam intending to settle permanently in India.
B. Age Limit
Candidates after completing the 10th or 12th are eligible to apply. So, the age limit ranges from the age of 17 or 18 years, once the candidates have the required educational qualifications ( diploma or certificate/graduation degree) to the age of 30 years.
- Minimum age limit: 17 or 18 years
- Maximum age limit: 30 years

To get the benefit of Age Relaxation, Candidates need to attach all the relevant documents of educational certificates, caste certificates intending to settle, etc at the time of submission of the application form.
C. Educational Qualification
The education Qualification depends on the post and department under which the post is allocated. But some basic qualifications are desirable for applying for the post of Sub-Inspector.
- Candidates must have passed 10th and 12th from a recognized board.

CRPF SI Exam Pattern 2022 (Expected)
It is expected that the pattern will be the same as it was in the last year's recruitment. The exam pattern has four stages and candidates need to qualify for every stage separately to become eligible for the final selection. Candidates should go through the below-mentioned stages to get an idea about the level of preparation that one needs to do for CRPF SI.
Stage I- Physical Standard Test( PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test ( PET)
This test is Qualifying in Nature. Candidates need to qualify the standard set by the organization. During the process candidates need to have the following documents for screening:

Note: Both the parts ( PART A and PART B) will be of a total of 100 Marks for 2 hours. The questions will be of Class 10th and Class 12th level.

Candidates who will qualify for the written test will be eligible for the Trade test and Document screening. This is a mandatory test to qualify for the candidate.

Stage IV: Medical Test
Candidates who will qualify for all the above-mentioned three Tests will be eligible for the medical test. They will be examined based on different parameters like existing health conditions, condition of body organs, etc.
After examination, candidates will be declared as FIT or UNFIT, and based on that further final selection is done.

CRPF SI Admit Card 2022
In the recruitment process of CRPF SI, Admit Cards will be released twice for every candidate. It is important to carry the admit card along with important documents. Without Admit Card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall or to the designated venue. It will be issued during:
- Stage I- PST/ PET mentioning the venue for the test.
- Stage II- Written Examination mentioning the examination centers. I
Admit Cards will be dispatched by post.
If the candidate does not receive the admit card, he/she must contact the helpline provided by the organization or mentioned on the official website.
CRPF SI Salary Details 2022 (Expected)
The candidates who will be qualifying all the stages of selection will be offered the mentioned salary as per the government rule. It will be paid with the Level -6 of the Pay Matrix.

CRPD decides the cut-off for the Written examination and the Trade test. So, Candidates have to qualify for the cut-off marks to become eligible for the Trade Test and Document Screening.

CRPF SI Answer Key 2022
Answer Key is released after the Written examination is conducted. It helps the candidate to know about the status of their answer that they have marked in the examination. Answer Key for the Written Examination will be released within 3-4 weeks after the conduct of the exam. Candidates need to visit the official website and download the answer key.
If there is some error or mistake in the answer key, one can raise a question through the provided way of complaining.
How to Prepare for the CRPF SI 2022 Exam?
CRPF is one of the government organizations that recruit aspirants for different posts like for Sub- Inspector. The selection process as discussed above is divided into 4 stages where candidates were evaluated through different parameters. So one needs to prepare for each and every stage. Some of the important tips are mentioned below that one should implement while preparing for the exam:
For Stage I – PST/ PET
- Regular physical exercise is essential for maintaining stamina and strength.
- One should run for at least 1- 1.5 hours every day so that they can complete the target provided during the Physical Efficiency Test.
- A proper diet full of nutritional fuel is required to support the activities done in a day.
- Proper Sleep is required to give proper rest to the body.
For Stage II – Written Examination
- As the written examination has 4 major sections of General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude, and English/ Hindi Comprehension, one has to focus on all the sections equally.
