ESIC UDC Selection Process 2023

The candidates should be aware of the USIC UDC Selection Process 2023. It will help them to know to go through the the steps which they will need to qualify for the position. The selection process of ESIC UDC consists of 3 stages:

1. Prelims- The Preliminary exam of UDC is objective in nature. The exam has four sections with a total mark of 200. There are 100 questions and every question weighs 2 marks. 1/4th of the assigned marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The score obtained in prelims will not be considered for final merit. 
2. Mains- The mains exam for Upper Division Clerk also has 4 sections. There are 200 questions and each question weighs one mark. The total marks for this exam are 200. 1/4th of the assigned mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
3. Computer Skill Test- It is a descriptive Type Written Examination. The total duration of the written exam is 30 minutes. It is divided into following: 

• PPT Slide Preparation – 10 Marks. 
• Typing Master with Formatting on MS Word – 20 Marks. 
• MS Excel Formula using Formulae – 20 Marks.

What is the ESIC UDC Recruitment Educational Qualification 2023?

– Applicants applying for the post of UDC are required to hold a Graduate Degree from a recognized University.

– They should have a working knowledge of Computers including the use of databases and office suites.

• A Citizen of India,
• A Subject of Nepal,
• A Subject of Bhutan,

The candidates after qualifying the three stages will be eligible for recruitment all throughout the country and there are definite promotions for every candidate. Check the below list. 

• After a candidate is selected as an ESIC UDC, the next promotion will be to an Assistant with an initial Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200.
• For this promotion, a candidate needs to serve continuously for 3 years in the same cadre and this promotion also depends on the number of vacancies for the same. 
• Then after serving as an Assistant for three years a candidate will be eligible for the promoted post of Social Security Officer with grade pay of Rs. 4,600 initially.
