GATE CH 2023 exam Schedule is out! The exam takes place on 11th February 2023 in the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The candidate will require the Admit card to attend the exam which will be out on 3rd January 2023. The notification for GATE 2023 was released recently. IIT Kanpur is the conducting body for the GATE 2023 session. The candidates who are successful in GATE Chemical Engineering 2023 exam can get an opportunity to apply for an M.Tech course or PG course in top universities.
- The Education Ministry has agreed to add two more papers to the upcoming GATE exam i.e. Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and Geomatics Engineering.
- The scorecard of GATE 2023 will be valid for at least 3 years from the date of its release.
- A candidate who successfully clears the GATE CH Exam can seek admission in an M.Tech course in any of the colleges or apply for a job in top PSUs.

21st July 2022: GATE Chemical Engineering Important Dates Out!
The GATE 2023 is going to be conducted IIT Kanpur. The GATE 2023 Notification will be released in September 2022 and the exam will be conducted on 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th February 2023.
GATE Chemical Engineering 2023 Exam: Online Application
The online application form of GATE Chemical Engineering 2023 is awaited by the candidates. The candidates can check out the major steps involved in the application process of the GATE Exam.
Step 1: Apply for the GATE exam using the official application link (to be activated soon).
Step 2: Next, visit the GOAPS portal and find the Registration Link. Then, fill the registration form by entering details i.e. Candidate’s Name, Email Id, Mobile Number, Country of Residence, and Password.
Step 3: Thereafter, log in on the GOAPS portal with the login credentials generated upon filling the registration form.
Step 4: Post Login, the candidates need to select the number of papers and choice of city, and choice of exam center.
Step 5: Next comes the application form which requires a lot of details like, DOB, Gender, Category, Address, Valid Photo ID, Id Number, College Name, Qualifying Degree, etc.
Step 6: Thereafter, the candidates have to upload the relevant documents i.e. Candidate’s photograph, Candidate’s signature, and Candidate’s Photo Id.
Step 7: At last, comes to the payment option wherein the candidates have to pay the application fee using the Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking, etc.
Step 8: Download and print the final application for future reference and records.

GATE Chemical Engineering 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Since the official Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) 2023, Chemical Engineering Notification is not out, therefore, the candidates can check out the eligibility criteria based on the previous year’s brochure to check if they are eligible or not.
Nationality
There is no barrier regarding the nationality of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2023. However, the candidates who are foreign nationals have to abide by all the rules made for the NRI candidates.
Age Limit
There is no specified age limit for the candidates applying for the upcoming GATE Chemical Engineering 2023 exam. The candidates can apply as long as they qualify for all the other eligibility criteria.

GATE Chemical Engineering 2023 Exam Pattern
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) exam is usually held a single day and is an online test held majorly for three sections. The candidates have to complete the exam in the fixed time allotted for the entrance test. The major highlights related to the GATE 2023 Chemical Engineering Exam Pattern can be found below:
- The examination will be held in the computer-based mode.
- There will be mainly three sections in the GATE Chemical Engineering exam i.e. General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and Chemical Engineering.
- The nature of the questions asked in the examination will be MCQ(Multiple Choice Questions), MSQ(Multiple Select Questions), and NAT(Numerical Answer Type).
- The General Aptitude section will account for 15% of weightage in the exam while the other two sections Engineering Mathematics and Chemical Engineering will account for 85% weightage.
- The marks allotted to each question in the exam are fixed at 1 or 2 as decided by the authorities. Regarding the wrong answers, the questions that account for 1 mark will have a deduction of 1/3rd. While the questions that account for 2 marks will have a deduction of 2/3rd marks if the answers marked are wrong.
- The total duration to complete the examination is fixed at 180 minutes.
