The nationality is the first aspect seen by the higher authorities and will proceed with the candidate for the further rounds.
The candidate must be either:
- An Indian citizen or
- A Subject from Nepal or
- A Subject From Bhutan or
- A Tibetian who came over India before 1st January 1962 who intended to settle in India Permanently.

Stage 1 – Preliminary Examination – The Prelims Exam comprises majorly three subjects that are English, Numerical Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The exam will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.

The Bank may add more training centres or remove some of the ones that are already listed. Candidates who choose pre-examination training should access their call letter for training on the Bank's website by providing their registration number, password, and date of birth. The call letter will not be mailed in hard copy.
