The candidates need to submit their applications on the online portal of the Indian Coast Guard in order to apply for recruitment. The following steps can be followed by the aspirants.

Written test – Stage I
The Computer Based Written test is the first stage of the selection process. candidates who will clear this stage of the selection process will be eligible for the next round
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – Stage II
Candidates who will clear the written test will be eligible for the next round of the Physical Fitness Test. A few activities that will be performed during the PFT round are mentioned below. This test will be qualifying in nature.
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
- 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
- 10 Pushup
Initial Medical Examination – The initial medical examination will be conducted to take the basic test of the candidates like the COVID-19 test etc.
Medical Examination and Initial Document Verification – Stage III
Candidates who will clear the above-mentioned stages will be eligible for the Induction round. In this round document verification round and a final medical examination round is conducted. Candidates need to present theri basic documents like education certificates etc here.
Final Medical Exam – The selected candidates will now be called for the final medical examination. Check the medical standards required to clear the selection process

Indian Coast Guard Navik DB Eligibility 2022
Interested candidates must make sure whether they are eligible to apply for the post or not. The applications of all the ineligible candidates will face rejection. The candidate has to prove their eligibility through three criteria namely nationality, age limit, and educational qualification. Each criterion is explained as follows.
A. Nationality
The candidates should compulsorily be a Citizen Of India. Other candidates cannot apply.
B. Age Limit
Candidates must have been born between 01 May 2001 to 30 Apr 2005.
- Minimum Age – 18 years
- Maximum Age – 22 years
The upper age limit relaxations will be applicable as per the government rules.
C. Education
The candidate must have passed the 10th Standard from a recognized board of education. Those candidates who failed to secure more than 50% marks cannot apply.

Important pointers
- The written exam will be an objective type test with four options.
- One questions carry one mark each.
- There is no negative marking in the written examination test.
Breaking Rule in Merit – The Breaking rule in merit is applied in case of two or more candidates having the same marks in stage I then the tie will be broken in steps as follows:
(I). Candidate who gets more aggregate percentage in the qualifying exam (10th class for Nvk (DB))
(ii). The candidate older in age will be given high priority in the merit list.

The answer key will not be released by the Indian Coast Guard, the result is declared directly in the form of a merit list. This merit list will consist of the roll number/seat number of the candidates who will be successfully selected for the physical fitness test. This decision by the Indian Coast Guard will be final and cannot be challenged.
Navik DB Salary 2022
After the selection prcoess, the selected candidates will be paid an in-hand salary of Rs 21700/-. The selected candidates will also get the additional dearness allowances by the Indian Coast Guard.
