Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Application Procedure

Step 4: A password will be sent to your email.
Step 5: Log in with your email id and password and fill in all the mandatory fields like date of birth, category, educational details, etc.
Step 6: Candidates must upload a scanned copy of the photograph and signature in .jpeg format. The size of the photograph and signature must be between 10 kb to 40 kb and 10 kb to 30 kb respectively.
Step 7: Check your filled details once again prior to clicking on the Submit button. After successful submission, note down the Application/ Registration number.
Application Fee for Indian Coast Guard Navik Exam 2022
All the applicants (except SC/ST candidates) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two hundred Fifty only) through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/ Master/ Maestro/Rupay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI.
Payscale of Indian Coast Guard Navik
The Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level -3 with basic pay of 21,700. Candidates can earn promotions up to the rank of Pradhan Adhikari which will offer pay of Rs. 47600/- (Pay Level 8). The candidate's promotion to Officer cadre is subject to suitability and performance.
Application Form Correction
Candidates should ensure that all the details are filled in correctly as there is no provision mentioned in the Indian Coast Guard Navik official notice regarding the changing of information in the application form. Indian Coast Guard Navik Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to fulfil certain eligibility criteria as mentioned in the notification. Below are the
Age Criteria
- The minimum age for application is 18 Years
- The maximum age limit for the candidates applying is 22 years.
- The Upper age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for the SC/ST and 3 years for the OBC candidates.
Educational Qualification
- 10+2 passed with
Maths andPhysics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Nationality
Male Indian nationals fulfilling the above eligibility criteria can only apply for the Indian Coast Guard Navik recruitment.
Indian Coast Guard Navik Selection Process
The Indian Indian Coast Guard Navik 2022 selection process consists of 4 stages – Written examination, Physical fitness test, Medical Examination Round and Document verification.
Stage 1 – ICG Navik Written Examination 2022
The written examination will be of an objective type. Candidates qualifying for the written exam will be called for the Physical fitness test (PFT). There would be a document scrutiny process before the written examination, candidates failing to produce the required documents will not be allowed to sit for the written examination.
For Navik posts, the candidates will have to attempt two sections of the paper – Section 1 and Section 2. Further details are given below.
Stage 2 – ICG Navik Physical Fitness Test 2022
Candidates who will clear the above stage will be eligible for the physical fitness test. The candidates may have to compete in a variety of physical activities like running, push-ups, squats, etc.
Stage 3 – ICG Navik Initial Document Verification
After the Physical Fitness test, successful candidates will be sent to a medical examination where certain medical tests are done on such candidates
- Physical fitness test – Medical examination round – Candidates will be next called for the medical examination and initial document verification round
- Final Document Verification – Candidates who will clear all stages of the written test will be eligible for the final stage i.e final document verification and police verification round.

Important Highlights
- Passing separately in section I and section II is compulsory
- Section I and section II of the exam will be computer-based test. The exam will be an objective type of test.
- There will be no negative marking on the exam.
Breaking rule in the merit – In case two or more candidates have the same marks then breaking a rule in the merit will be applied as follows.
- Candidates scoring more marks in section I
- Candidates of older age will be preferred
Physical Fitness Test
PFT will be conducted for all the candidates who qualify for the written tests. The parameters for the Physical fitness test are mentioned below:
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
- 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
- 10 Push-ups
Note: Candidates are requested to carry their sports attire, shoes, etc.
