Kerala PSC LDC Eligibility Criteria 2023

The basic eligibility for the Kerala PSC LDC recruitment is to be SSLC passed. Along with that, the candidate had to be in the age group of 18 – 36 and had to possess the documents required for verification.

Age Limit

The minimum age to apply for the KPC LDC Recruitment Exam is 18 years as per last recruitment notification while the upper limit is variable for different categories.

*Subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years as per last recruitment notification.

3% of the vacancies shall be reserved for appointment of Differently-abled persons, limited to the categories of Low Vision, Hearing Impairment, and Locomotor Disability/ Cerebral Palsy as per last recruitment notification. As per existing Acts and Rules, relaxation in age and award of Grace marks will be given to the Differently-abled candidates as per eligibility which is announced as per the last recruitment notification.

Educational Qualification

For appearing in the Kerala PSC LDC examination, the minimum qualification for a candidate is to have passed the class 10th examination. Candidates having higher education can also apply as per last recruitment pattern.

Other Eligibility Conditions

Any candidate working as a typist in Kerala PSC or any other department, and having a certificate of passing class 10th were eligible for the Kerala PSC LDC Exam. These candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in the service. Such candidates need to have a certificate proving their tenure in the organization, from the Head of the Department that they were working for. There is no reservation for such candidates but, the upper age limit for such candidates was 40 years. There was a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC candidates in terms of the age limit as per the last recruitment pattern.

Depending upon the post and the ambit of duties, the Kerala PSC LDC Salary for candidates who get through the recruitment exam is somewhere between INR 9190 to INR 15750 per month. Candidates who are to be appointed in one particular district on the basis of the prepared ranked list are not transferred to any other district for at least 05 years. After 05 years from the day of the regular commencement of the job, if a candidate is getting transferred then this transfer will be based upon the set rules and regulations.

Kerala PSC LDC Exam Centre

The selection test for Kerala PSC LDC is conducted in the different exam centres of the selected districts. Candidates have to select the examination centre while filling the application form online. After that, they have to ensure that they report to the examination centre assigned to them at least one hour before the exam starts. Candidates who do not follow the same will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

Conditions of completing the 05 years service are not applicable to the transfer in the Kasaragod, Wayanad and Idukki districts. This concession is given to the candidate just to get transfer in these districts but they cannot request to get the transfer out of the above-mentioned districts. Government servants can avail this concession just once in their career. Also, those government servants who are posted in one district on a particular post are not allowed to apply for that post in any other district.
