Candidates interested in becoming assistant professors can apply for the KSET exam online. The application is completed entirely online. The applicant must complete the application form found on the official website. The procedure for applying for the KSET is as follows:

KSET Eligibility Criteria 2022

Before candidates apply for the KSET 2022 exam, it is crucial to know the eligibility criteria of the examination properly. (a) Age limit

Candidates of any age can appear for the KSET 2022 examination. There is no such upper age limit to appear for the concerned examination. 

(b) Minimum Educational Qualification

The basic educational qualifications for various categories are given below.

Know the Exemptions Given for KSET Examination

• Candidates who are in their final year must produce their certificate within the time period of 2 years from the date of publication of KSET 2022 results.
• Candidates, who have successfully passed any one of the NET/SET/SLET exams are exempted under UGC governance.
• Candidates who have successfully passed the State Eligibility Test on or before 01 June 2002 are also exempted from KSET 2020 examination.
• Candidates who have successfully passed any one of the UGC-NET/CSIR JRF examinations on or before 1989 are exempted from KSET 2020 examination.
• Candidates who have successfully passed any KSET examination previously are not eligible for the KSET 2022 examination.

KSET 2022 Selection Process 

Candidates must be aware of the KSET Selection Process 2022 before appearing for the examination. The exam will be conducted in two papers. 

• Paper-I: This paper is a compulsory paper and topics such as general teaching and research aptitude will be covered in this paper. The total marks for Paper I will be 100.
• Paper-II: This paper is subject-based and questions in this paper will be objective in nature. All the subjects and their syllabus are given below. Paper-II will be of 200 marks. 

Note- Candidates should be scoring minimum aggregate marks in both papers to qualify. The qualification percentage required is 40% for General category candidates, whereas for reserved candidates such as SC / ST/ CAT-I / II A/ II B / III A / III B / PWD it is 35%. According to the UGC guidelines, only 6% of the total candidates will qualify for the post. The University of Mysore will prepare a merit list according to the guidelines prescribed by UGC.

KSET 2022 Exam Pattern 

KSET 2022 will expectedly be conducted by the University of Mysore in two papers and it will be an offline exam. Paper -I is a compulsory paper that will be based on the topics of general teaching and research aptitude, whereas Paper-II will be based on subjects selected by the candidates. All the questions will be objective in nature. Details about the exam patterns are given below.

• The exam papers will be set in both English and Kannada languages. 
• The papers will be objective in nature.
• There are two sections/papers such as Paper I and II. 
• Paper, I will have 50 compulsory questions, whereas Paper II will have 100 compulsory questions.

• There will be no negative marks in the KSET 2020 examination.
