Odisha Mining Corporation, the largest state PSU in the mining sector of our country, released a notification on 4th January 2022 to hire eligible candidates to fill up some Non-Executive positions such as that of an Electrician-III (Class-III Grade). OMC Electrician Vacancy 2022

A total of 12 vacancies are released for the OMC Electrician-III Recruitment 2022. Candidates will initially be appointed as Trainees for a period of 1 year with a consolidated stipend. After the completion of training, they are kept under probation for a period of 1 year, during which they are given the regular pay scale and other allowances.

How to Apply for OMC Electrician Recruitment 2022?

The application process for the OMC Electrician Recruitment 2022 will start from 18th January 2022, 2pm onwards, and the last date to apply for the recruitment and pay the application fee is 7th February 2022, until 11:59pm.

OMC Electrician Selection Process 2022

The OMC Recruitment 2022 for the post of Electrician-III will be conducted in 2 stages. Mentioned below are the stages of the selection process:

Computer Based Test (CBT) 

The CBT will be conducted in an online mode and will contain 120 objective-type questions. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours.

Document Verification

Candidates who clear the CBT will be called for the Document Verification process in the ratio 1:3 (category-wise) in descending order of merit in the CBT. Candidates need to produce the following list of documents:

• Original Marksheets and Certificates
• Documents for age verification like birth certificate or the Class 10 Marksheet
• Caste and residence Certificates
• No Objection Certificate, for candidates already employed with the Government/ Semi-Government/ Central PSU/ State PSU etc.

Educational Qualification

Either a HSC with ITI in Electrician, lineman/ wireman Trade from recognized institute with valid workman permits “A” certificate issued by the Competent Authority

OR 

HSC with ITI in Electrician, lineman/ wireman Trade from recognized institute with minimum Lineman- MV (with Learner Permit for WorkmanHT) issued by Electrical Licensing Board, Odisha (ELBO). 

OMC Electrician Exam Pattern 2022

Mentioned below is the detailed exam pattern of the computer-based test. One must carefully understand the exam pattern and then devise a study plan accordingly.

• The examination is conducted for a total of 120 marks.
• The duration of the examination is 120 minutes, ie. 2 hours.
• Every correct response is rewarded with +1 marks.
• There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• Candidates with a disability of 40% or above will be allowed a compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour for the CBT.
