Reasons for Rejection of OPSC OMAS Recruitment Application 2022

Here are certain conditions that can lead to the rejection of the candidate's application form for OPSC OMAS recruitment 2022:

  • If the application form is incomplete/ incorrect in any respect.
  • Non-receipt of hard copy of the online application.
  • Declaration not signed in the hard copy of the online application.
  • Non-payment of application fee.
  • Not fulfilling eligibility criteria.
  • Suppressing the facts about needed information.
  • If the candidate fails to furnish the required documents at any stage.
  • Application received through any other mode except online mode is subjected to rejection.

OPSC OMAS Recruitment Application Fee 2022

A candidate is required to a non-refundable sum of 500/- as their application fees. One should also note that the application fees paid will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances. 

Examination Fee Concession

The candidates of SC, ST, and PH (not less than 40% disability) of Odisha state are exempted from the examination fee. Candidates claiming fees concession needs to furnish all the valid documents, otherwise, their application will be rejected by the commission.

Selection Process for OPSC OMAS Recruitment 2022

Candidates will be selected by the marks obtained in two successive selection processes. There will be no marks for the certificate verification round.  

Written Examination

  • It consists of Paper-I and Paper-II on General Studies.
  • Both the papers are objective types of 200 marks each.
  • Once the applicant clears both the papers, he/she is eligible for the next round of the selection process.  

Viva Voice Test i.e. Interview

Candidates have to compulsorily appear in all the stages of the exam. The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants in the written examination and interview round.

Certificate Verification Round

  • This round does not carry any marks. 
  • This is the second round of OPSC OMAS recruitment 2022, where all the claims made by the applicants in the application process are verified.
  • In this round candidates have to submit the hard copy of the online application and true copy of all the documents mentioned on the commission's website.
  • All the documents sent should be duly self-certified by the candidates.  

 Certificates Needed for Candidate Verification

Candidates must be ready with the following documents for the candidature verification round. The candidate is subjected to rejection if there are any discrepancies found by the commission in the claims made by the candidate.  

  1. HSC Marksheet in support of declaration of age. 
  2. Intermediate/ +2 certificate.
  3. Bachelor’s Degree certificate.
  4. Certificate of any other qualification.
  5. Certificates of conduct.
  6. Community certificate as per the norms.
  7. Discharge certificate from Commanding Officer wherever applicable.
  8. Medical certificate in case of disability.
  9. OPSC copy of challan (pay-in-slip).
  10.  2 recent passport size photos.
  11.  No objection certificate.

Important Note: Candidates also have to submit the self-attested copy of the above-mentioned documents with the printout/ hardcopy of the online application to the commission during the verification process. 

Candidates have to produce the original documents during the interview round.

OPSC OMAS Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria

There are three heads under eligibility criteria for the OPSC OMAS Recruitment 2022:

  • Age Limit
  • Education Qualification
  • Citizenship

1. Age Limit

  • The age of a candidate must be under 38 years and over 21 years.
  • The age concession for SCs, STs, SEBC, Women, Ex-Serviceman is 5 years.
  • Age concession for PWD is 10 years.
  • Age concession given to PWD (SCs,STs,SEBC) is 15 years.

Candidates who come under more than one reserve category will be eligible for only one relaxation, whichever is considered best for them.

2. Education Qualification

A candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university under the University Grants Commission (UGC).


A candidate must have a computer qualification (Degree/Diploma) from a recognized university under the University Grants Commission (UGC).

3. Citizenship 

A candidate must be an Indian citizen.

OPSC OMAS 2022 Exam Pattern

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) Odisha Municipality Administrative services 2022 consists of three stages i.e. Written Examination, Verification Round, and Interview.   • Paper-I & Paper-II is a subjective paper and will be set in the English language. 
  • Both the papers will have objective type questions (MCQs).
  • There will be negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to the question in the written examination will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Before the interview round and after the written examination, all the candidates who cleared the written examination will have to submit the self-attested copy of all the documents mentioned on the website for certificate verification.

OPSC OMAS 2022 Syllabus

OPSC OMAS Recruitment Cut Offs 2022

The OPSC OMAS cut off marks vary every year. The cut-offs are determined by the following factors:

  • The total number of applications received: More the number of candidates, more is the cut off remarking the competition.
  • The difficulty level of question paper: If the examination is difficult for a particular year, cut off is expected to decrease.
  • The total number of vacancies: If the commission announces a large number of vacancies, cut off generally tends to decrease.
  • Performance of the candidates: If the candidates have performed brilliantly in the examination during a particular year, cut off tends to increase.

Since the cut-offs for 2022 have not been released yet, we can take a look at the OPSC OMAS expected cut-offs.
