Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) had released the new notification for the Junior Engineer post on 2nd November 2022. A total of 1008 vacancies have been released for the recruitment. The application dates are from 11th November 2022 to 11th December 2022.

C. OSSC JE Educational Qualification
- You must have a Diploma in Engineering in Civil recognized by Odisha state council.(Note – Diploma through distance education will not be eligible)
D.OSSC JE Other Important Eligibility
- Candidate must know how to speak, read, and write in Odia.
- Along with the qualification, you must have Odia as a language subject in your HSC and Middle School Examinations.
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

OSSC JE Selection Process
The OSSC JE Recruitment selection process consists of primarily three stages that are
Written Test – The written test comprises 100 marks. The written test is the first stage of the selection process for the OSSC JE Exam which holds 50% weightage of the selection process. Candidates need to clear this written exam to get selected for the next stage.
Career Evaluation – The career evaluation will be done as per the marks filled during the time of application form and as per their uploaded documents. This round holds the other 50% weightage of the selection process. Candidates who will be shortlisted in this round will be eligible for the next round that is Document Verification round
Document Verification Round – Candidates need to justify their eligibility like age, caste, etc in the document verification round. The final merit list will be prepared for the candidates who will clear all stages of the selection process.
OSSC JE Exam Pattern
Candidates appearing for the recruitment must be familiar with the exam pattern for both, the preliminary and mains examinations. The details of the same have been provided in this section.
OSSC JE Prelims Exam Pattern
The OSSC Junior Engineer Prelims Examination will be an objective-type test. Candidates who qualify the same will be shortlisted for the Mains Examination. Keep in mind the following about the
- The total marks for the Prelims will be 150.
- The exam duration will be 150 minutes.
- There will be a negative marking of ¼ marks for each incorrect response.
- All questions asked will be MCQs.
OSSC JE Mains Exam Pattern
The OSSC Junior Engineer Mains Examination will be conducted for 200 marks. It will assess the Technical Knowledge of the candidates. The detailed exam pattern for the same will be updated once made available by the authorities.

OSSC JE Exam 2022 Salary
The board will pay a salary as per the 7th pay commission to its employees. The baord will pay the in-hand the salary of Rs. 35,400 to 1,12,400 per month. The service shall be guided by Odisha group B Posts, Contractual Appointment Rule, 2013. The board will increase the salary counting factors like promotion, hard work, and years of service.
