OSSC Junior Assistant New Notification to be released soon! Recently, the final result for the 2021 cycle was released. The OSSC had released the 2021-22 recruitment notification for 140 vacancies. Same number of vacancies are expected to be released for this year too. The OSSC conducts the Junior Assistant Recruitment for eligible candidates. The minimum education qualification required to attend the OSSC Junior Assistant Recruitment Examination is, that the candidate must have passed +3 Arts/ Science/ Commerce or any other qualification which is equivalent to the +3 examination and has proper knowledge of computer skills.
- The candidate needs to undergo 4 stages of the selection process.
- Candidates must note that in the prelims exam, 100 marks of General Awareness were asked.
- To be eligible for the OSSC Junior Assistant Recruitment 2021-22 the candidates had to be between the age limit which was between 21 and 32 years.

Certificates/documents to be submitted at the time of certificate verification:
- Copy of the registered online application form with declaration duly filled in and ink signed at the appropriate place.
- Self- attested photocopy of HSC Certificate or equivalent certificate and mark sheet issued by the recognized board or council.
- Self-attested photocopies of +3 pass certificate and mark sheet.
- Candidates may submit a Computer proficiency certificate of DCA/PGDCA/ ‘O’ Level/ OS-CIT or any higher qualification in computer knowledge.
- Candidates of SC/ST/SEBC category shall enclose a self-attested photocopy of a valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Candidates have to submit a self-attested Photocopy of the certificate either of passing the HSC examination with Odia as a compulsory subject or in lieu thereof a certificate of passing a language test in Odia of M.E. standard/Class-VII issued by Principal/Headmaster or any other competent authority.
- Self-attested photocopies of documents in support of a claim against Ex-servicemen i.e. Discharge certificate, identity Card & P.P.O (Preferred provider organization) issued by the appropriate Authority indicating there in the Date of Entry, Date of Discharge & Period of Service rendered in Defence forces.
OSSC Junior Assistant Syllabus Written exam
- The questions of General English and Odia Language will be of HSC standard and will comprise of comprehension of a given passage, vocabulary, usage, and grammar.
- The questions of Mathematics will be of Arithmetic, the trigonometry of the standard prescribed for H.S.C examination, and for Verbal Reasoning as expected from a person of H.S.C Standard.
- The questions of General Awareness will be of H.S.C standard and comprise of questions on Indian History and History of Odisha, Geography of India and Odisha, Art and Culture of India and Odisha. Indian Polity, Environmental Studies, General Science, and Current Events.
