OSSC TGT Application Process 2022

The applications for OSSC TGT Recruitment must be submitted online between 16th December 2022 to 15th January 2023. The steps to apply online are as follows:

Step 1. Visit the OSSC Application Portal.

Step 2. Click on the registration link given against the advertisement for OSSC Trained Graduate Teacher Recruitment.

Step 3. Enter the required details and complete the registration. 

Step 4. Using the credentials obtained during the registration, log in and proceed to fill out the application form.

Step 6. Pay the application fee.

According to the latest notification released, the salary range for the OSSC TGT Teacher can go up to 35,400/-. The detailed break up for OSSC TGT vacancies has been listed below in the table.

OSSC TGT Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates applying for the OSSC TGT recruitment must fulfil the eligibility requirements in terms of age, qualification, nationality, etc. of the candidates. Applicants who do not fulfil the OSSC TGT eligibility criteria will be disqualified from the selection. Check details of the same in the following subsections.


The age of the applicants, as of 1st January 2022, must be within the age limit given below:

  • Minimum age: 21 years

To be able to appear for any exam, candidates must ensure that they are eligible for the post they wish to appear for.   • Reading and writing proficiency in Odia language with one of the following qualifications
  • Passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject;
  • Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non – language subject 
  • Passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class -VII or above
  • Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

OSSC TGT Exam Pattern 2022

The selection process for OSSC TGT includes Prelims and Mains examinations. Candidates preparing for the recruitment must be familiar with each stage's OSSC TGT exam pattern. Below are important details of the same.

  • The Prelims will only qualify in nature and carry 100 marks. 
  • The Mains exam will carry a weightage of 150 marks. Marks scored at this stage will be used as the basis for shortlisting candidates for certificate verification.
  • Questions asked in Prelims as well as Mains will be objective-type MCQs.
  • Each correct answer will fetch one mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Documents Required at the Time of Verification

Once candidates are done with the exam, they would need to appear for the certification verification process. Here, the eligibility of shortlisted candidates will be determined after the verification of certain documents. Those who fail to attend the verification will not be considered for this post.

  • Downloaded copy of Admission letter for Document Verification.
  • Copy of the Online Application form legibly signed by the candidate at the appropriate place.
  • Downloaded copy of Bio-Data-cum-Attestation form duly filled in
  • HSC certificate & mark sheet or equivalent certificate in support of Date of Birth, issued by the concerned Board/Council.
  • +2 or equivalent examination pass Certificate & Marksheet issued by the concerned

  • Bachelor's Degree or other academic Certificate & Marksheet issued by the concerned University,
  • OSSTET Pass Certificate and Marksheet issued by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
  • Candidates possessing academic/training qualifications from outside Odisha must have produced the required documents mentioned in N.B. of clause 3 (b) of the advertisement.
  • Training pass Certificate & Marksheet issued by NCTE-recognized college/ Institution
  • Caste certificate issued by the competent authority for employment/service. (In case of ST, SC& SEBC Candidates only) SEBC category candidates must submit a photocopy of a valid SEBC certificate issued by the competent authority, which must be within one year before the closing date of the online application.
  • NOC in case of candidates working in Government Service.
  • Photocopy of permanent disability certificate not less than 40% issued online by UDID (by Appropriate Medical Authority) in case of PwD candidates.
  • Sports I-card issued by Director of Sports & Youth Services in case candidates claim reservation for Sports person.
  • Certificate either of passing the HSC examination with Odia as a compulsory subject or, in lieu thereof, a certificate of passing Odia issued by the competent authority.
  • An ID Proof such as a Voter's Identity Card/Driving License/Aadhar Card etc., issued by Government Authorities.
  • Discharge certificate, identity card and a document indicating the period of service rendered in defence forces in case of Ex-Servicemen candidates claiming age relaxation.
