This is with reference to the 2021 cycle. The RPSC RAS 2022 Application will tentatively begin in December 2022 or January 2023 and the exam is tentatively scheduled in March-April 2023. A total of 750-800 vacancies are expected to be released as informed by the commission via a short notification. The official notification for the same is awaited and will be released soon. A total of 988 vacancies had been released for State Services and Subordinate Services 2021 cycle. The RPSC RAS Selection Process is divided into three stages i.e. prelims exam, mains exam and interview/personality test/ viva voce. The candidates who cleared the mains exam will be called for the RPSC RAS Interview. The final selection will be made according to the performance in the main exam and viva voce.

RPSC RAS Preliminary exam 

Consists of objective questions and can be held in an online or offline format. 

RPSC RAS Mains Exam

Successful candidates equal to 15 times the total vacancies shall be appearing for the mains exam. The questions in the main exam will be of descriptive type. 

RPSC RAS Personality Test and Viva-voce –

The candidates who are selected after the main exam will then be called for a personality test and viva – voce. This stage also carries marks that will be added to the overall result of the candidate.

RPSC RAS Age Limit:

The age of a candidate when they are applying for the RPSC RAS recruitment exam should lie between 21 and 40 years as of 1st January 2022. 

RPSC RAS Age Relaxation:

Candidates belonging to some categories get relaxation in the upper age limit. These are detailed in the following table.

RPSC RAS Educational Qualification:

The candidate must hold a Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government in consultation with the Commission

RPSC RAS Experience:

This RPSC RAS eligibility criterion is only applicable to the non gazetted employees. They should have completed at least five years of service before they apply for the RPSC RAS recruitment exam.

The syllabus of the preliminary and the main exam is detailed in the following table. Remember that the preliminary exam consists of multiple-choice based questions, whereas the main exam has descriptive questions. In both the papers, the level of the questions will be that of a bachelor's degree.

Main Exam Syllabus 

Personality & Viva-voce Syllabus

Candidates who qualify in the written test of the Main Examination shall be called an interview for a personality test which carries 100 marks. The Commission awards marks in respect of character, personality, physique, etc. Candidates are also tested on knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
However, for selection to the Rajasthan Police Service, candidates having ‘C’ Certificate of N.C.C. shall be given preference. The marks so awarded shall be added to the marks obtained in the written test by each such candidate.

Prelims Exam Pattern

The RPSC RAS exam pattern for the preliminary exam can be understood through the following points. 

• The maximum marks of the paper are 200 marks. 
• All the questions are multiple-choice based. 
• One will get 3 hours to solve the paper. 
• The marks obtained in the preliminary exam will not be added to the overall result of the candidate.

Mains Exam Pattern

• The main exam consists of questions that are analytical or descriptive.

RPSC RAS Admit Card 

The RPSC RAS admit card is released for the main examination. The commission uploads the RPSC RAS admit card of each candidate on the official website of the commission. One must carry their admit card to the examination hall as, without it, you will not be permitted to give the examination. To download your RPSC RAS admit card, follow the steps detailed here. 

Step 1. Once you login to the website with the Username and password, go to the admit card section.
Step 2. There select the RPSC RAS admit card. Check the details on the document once it is displayed on your screen.
