RRB ASM Vacancies 2021

The RRB Recruits Assistant Station Master for the proper functioning/running of trains at various stations following the laid rules and guidelines. The Official notification for 2021 is yet to be announced. However, going by the past trends a total of 5,000+ vacancies can be expected for RRB ASM in 2021.

The ongoing notification for RRB ASM was released in 2019 where 6,865 vacancies were advertised for the post of Assistant Station Master for Indian Railways by the RRB. Let's have a look at the previous year vacancies to have a better understanding of the vacancies that can be expected for 2021.

Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria in order to apply for RRB ASM 2021. Overall, there are two criteria on which your eligibility will be judged for RRB ASM Recruitment 2021 exam – Education and Age. You need to qualify both the following eligibility standards to apply for this RRB exam.

RRB ASM Exam Pattern & Selection Process 2021

RRB ASM selection will be based on 4 stages as follows:

• First stage CBT
• Second stage CBT
• Computer Based Aptitude Test
• Document Verification

First Stage CBT

The first stage CBT consists of Questions on Maths, Reasoning, and Current Affairs. The total number of questions asked is 100 and the time allotted is 90 minutes. The questions asked will be MCQ type.

Second Stage CBT

The Second Stage CBT will consist of Questions on Maths, Reasoning, and Current Affairs. The total number of questions asked is 120 and the time allotted is 90 minutes. The questions asked will be MCQ type.

• Each Question will carry 1 mark in both First and Second CBT.
• There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in both, First and Second Stage CBT.
• 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
• If you qualify both the above stages, you will be called for Computer Based Aptitude Test and Document Verification as applicable.

RRB ASM Recruitment 2021 Salary

The initial pay scale of RRB ASM (Assistant Loco Pilot) is Rs.35,400 under Level 06 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix as per the official notification of 2019. The gross salary will include various job allowances and perks given by Railways to Assistant Station Master which are:

• House Rent Allowance (HRA)
• Dearness Allowance (DA)
• Running Allowance (Based on the kms travelled)
• Transport Allowance
• New Pension Scheme (10% Deduction) etc,

RRB ASM Recruitment 2021 Cut-Off

Cut-Off marks are minimum marks required by the candidates to be selected for the post applied and it varies for applicants on the basis of their categories. The candidates are required to score equal or more than the Cut-Off marks for the post applied depending on his/her category. The RRB ASM Cut-Off Marks depends on various factors such as:

• The difficulty level of the examination.
• The total vacancies released for each post by the RRB.

The Railways Recruitment Board (RRB) is the exam conducting authority, which is yet to release the official notification for RRB ASM Recruitment 2021. RRB ASM Recruitment Result 2021 will be released by The Railways Recruitment Board (RRB) once the examination is conducted.
