• Candidates in the age group of 20 to 28 years will be eligible to apply for this recruitment drive as per the previous notification. Candidates should go through the SBI Apprentice Eligibility Criteria in detail before applying.
• SBI Apprentice Selection Process is based on the Online Written Test followed by Test of Local Language and Medical examination.

SBI Apprentice Vacancy 2022

The 2022 vacancies are yet to be released. Though it is expected that the same or more vacancies are likely to be released. A total of 6100 vacancies were released for the 2021 Recruitment drive. SBI Apprentice Recruitment Selection Procedure 2022

Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of –

• Online Written Test
• Test of Local Language.
• Medical Examination

SBI Apprentice Recruitment Exam Pattern 2022

The SBI Apprentice Recruitment Exam pattern is provided in detail below as per the previous notification. Refer to this for now, in case of any changes, we will update the space accordingly.

i) Online Written Test

• Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above.
• The questions will be bilingual, i.e., English & Hindi, except for the test of General English.
• There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon).
• There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects.
• Merit list will be drawn State wise and category-wise.

ii) Test of Local Language

The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular state must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) of the local language they have opted for. The language test will be conducted as a part of the selection process. This test will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged further in the selection process. Candidates who will produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidence having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test. Candidates will have to appear for the test of specified opted local language at a center of the State applied for, at his/her own expenses

iii) Medical Examination 

After clearing the above two stages candidates will be called for the medical examination round. The Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.

Final Selection in the SBI Apprentice Recruitment will be subject to:

• Verification of eligibility for the post and information furnished in the online application
• Qualifying in a test of specified opted local language, where applicable, as detailed above.
• Declared fit in the Medical examination

SBI Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates must fulfill the Eligibility criteria as will be defined by the State Bank of India to apply for the Apprenticeship posts. The basic eligibility for SBI Apprentice as per the previous year Notification in terms of Age & Educational Qualification criteria is as given below. 

A) Age Limit 

Minimum Age: 20 years

Maximum Age: 28 years

*Note: Maximum age indicated is for unreserved candidates. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

B) Educational Qualifications 

Graduation from a recognized University/ Institute

Note: Only “person with benchmark disability” would be eligible for reservation with not less than 40% of a specified disability where specified disability has not been denied in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority.

A person who wants to avail the benefit of reservation will have to submit the latest Disability Certificate, in prescribed format, issued by Medical Authority or any other notified Competent Authority (Certifying Authority) in the District of the applicant’s residence as mentioned in the proof of residence in the application. The certificate should be dated on or before the last date of registration of the application.

Scribe Details

The facility of scribe will be applicable to a person who has a disability of 40% or more. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the rules mentioned below will apply.

• Candidates eligible for and who wish to use the services of a scribe in the examination should carefully indicate the same in the online application form
• Both the candidate and the scribe are required to give an undertaking, in the prescribed format, with a passport size photograph of the scribe at the time of online examination.
• Candidates who are eligible to use a scribe will be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination.
• Candidates who are not eligible to use scribe as per guidelines, as referred above, uses scribe in the online examination shall be disqualified to participate further in the process of engagement of apprentices.
• Candidates who are using scribe should ensure that he is eligible to use scribe in the examination as per the guidelines mentioned above
• Scribe will be allowed to be used as per the guidelines issued vide Office Memorandum F.No.16-110/2003-DDIII dated February 26, 2013, of Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Disability Affairs, New Delhi and clarification issued by Government of India, Ministry of Financial, Dept. of Financial Services vide letter No. F. No. 3/2/2013-Welfare dated 26.04.2013

SBI Apprentice Training

Once selected for the post-SBI Apprentice post candidates will be eligible for 1 year of training.

SBI Stipend and Benefits

• Candidates who will be selected for the Apprentice post are eligible for a stipend of Rs.15000/- per month.
• The candidates who shall successfully complete the apprenticeship will enjoy special weightage/relaxation in SBI Clerk Recruitment.

SBI Apprentice Apply Online 2022

The steps to be followed to apply online for the SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2022 is explained below:

Step 1: Click the link mentioned above. (link expired)

Step 2: Alternatively click the SBI Official Website link

Step 3: Candidates must Click on “Current Openings” under “Join SBI” tab

Step 4: A new page will appear where List of current recruitments will open and then Click on “ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICES IN SBI UNDER THE APPRENTICES ACT, 1961”

Step 5: Click on the Apply Link as displayed. You will be directed to the application page.

Step 6: Click on the “Click here for New Registration “ link.

Step 7: Click on the “ Continue” tab and enter your basic details like name , phone number etc.

Step 8: Upload a scanned copy of your photograph and signature as per requirement. Click on the Next button. Click on PrepForSure image resize tool to resize images in the desired specification 

Step 9: Click on the preferred actions for the details asked in the form and than click on the “validate your details” and submit fees.

Step 10: Click on the final submission and take out the print out of the form

Prerequisites for Applying Online: Candidates should have a valid email ID and mobile no. which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will help him/her in getting call letters/advice, etc. by email/SMS.

• You must scan your photograph and signature as detailed under guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature (Annexure-I).
• Fill the application carefully. Once the application is filled in completely, you should submit the data. In the event of you not being able to fill the data in one go, save the data already entered. When the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Note down the registration number and password. You can also reopen the saved data using registration number and password and edit the particulars if needed. This facility will be available three times only.
• Once the application is filled in completely, submit the data. Thereafter, the registration is final and no change/edit of any data will be allowed.

Guidelines For Scanning The Photograph & Signature

Before applying online, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature as per the specifications given in Annexure-I.

Online applications will not be registered unless candidates upload photos and signatures as specified.

Note:

• Photograph must be a recent passport-style color picture. In case the face in the photograph or signature is unclear, the candidate's application may be rejected.
• The size of the photograph must be of dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) and the Size of the file should be between 20kb–50 kb
• In case the photograph or signature is unclear, the candidate may edit his application and re-upload his photograph or signature
• The dimensions of the signature must be 140 x 60 pixels (preferred) whereas the size of the file should be between 10kb – 20kb
• The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.

Candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below to download and get the SBI Apprentice Admit cards printed.

Step 1: Visit the SBI official website or Click on the above link to download SBI Apprentice Admit Card 2022 once it gets active.

Step 2: Click on the following link, you will be redirected to the official careers website of SBI

Step 3: Click on the Latest Announcement on the right-hand side of the website.

Step 4: You can find many advertisements regarding the examination conducted by SBI.

Step 5: Find the advertisement “SBI Apprentice Admit Card 2022” or “SBI Apprentice Call Letter 2020” and click on the link.

Step 6: You will be redirected to the login page once you click on the link.

Step 7: Enter the login credentials like Registration ID and Password and click on login.

Step 8: The admit card will be on your screen.

Step 9: Recheck the details like name, date of birth, etc., and download the admit card for print out for future use.

Important Documents Required at the Examination Center

Passport/Aadhaar/ PAN Card/Driving License/Voter's Card/Bank Passbook with duly attested Photograph/Identity Card issued by School or College/Gazetted Officer in the official letterhead in original as well as a self-attested Photocopy thereof.

The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted along with a call letter to the invigilators in the examination hall, failing which or if the identity of the candidates is in doubt, the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the test.

SBI Apprentice Salary Details 2022

It is important for the candidates to know since they are not permanent employees of the Bank, SBI Apprentices do not have a set salary. Based on their apprenticeship program, they are eligible for a fixed stipend. The monthly stipend is fixed for three years and varies between INR 15,000 and INR 19,000 per month.
