Candidates can raise objections against the answer key from 24th to 28th November 2022 against a fee of INR.100 per question. SSC Stenographer Skill Test dates have also been announced. The skill test will take place on the 15th & 16th of February 2023. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had invited applications for the post of Stenographer till 5th September 2022. Candidates must note that the SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2022 drive will recruit candidates for the posts of Stenographer Grade C (Group B, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade D (Group C) for various Ministries/Departments/Organizations in the Government of India. • As on 11th November 2022, SSC Stenographer Application Status has been released for all regions and SSC Stenographer Admit Cards have been released for WR, MPR, CR, NER & NWR Regions.
• The final marks (2020 cycle) were out on 21st October 2022. Candidates can check their individual scores on the official website between 21st October 2022 to 16th November 2022. 
• As this recruitment process is for Stenographers, it is mandatory to have skills in Stenography, otherwise, the candidates will be considered ineligible.
• The crucial date to meet all the eligibility criteria by the candidates is 1st January 2022. The candidates must make sure that they meet all the eligibility criteria as of the specified date. Else their applications will be disqualified.

Step 4: Click on apply at the bottom right and fill in every personal detail asked against all the fields.

Step 5: Upload the Photograph (Allowed File Size: 20 KB to 50 KB, Format: JPEG/ JPG, Image Size: About 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).

Step 6: Upload the Signature (Allowed File Size: 10 KB to 20 KB, Format: JPEG/ JPG, Image Size: About 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).

Step 7: Click on “I Agree” and Enter the Captcha. You can click on Preview to verify all your details. Also, note if the preview is not working, that means you might have skipped any required field, so go through the fields once again.

Step 8: After Preview, Click on Submit.

Step 9: Under the latest notifications only, you will find the below-mentioned links:

Print, Download Offline Challan, Payment, Payment Status, Application Status, Double Verification of Payment

Step 10: Use these links to pay the application fee, check the payment status, and more.

Step 11: Once done with everything, the candidates must download their application form and keep a printout with them for future reference.

Note: The candidates will have to specify whether they are applying for SSC Stenographer “Grade C” or “Grade D”, or both.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2022

As discussed above, the selection process contains two stages which are online computer based test and skill test. So, let’s discuss the exam pattern for both stages of the selection process in detail.

SSC Stenographer Computer-Based Test Exam Pattern

The Computer based test will contain Multiple choice questions. Below is the detailed SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern for CBT. Also, note that for candidates eligible for a scribe, the total duration will be 2 hours 40 minutes.

SSC Stenographer Marking Scheme (CBT)

• Each question will be of 1 mark. A total of 200 questions will be asked for 200 marks.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
• For all those questions that will remain unattempted will be awarded as 0 marks.
• The questions will be Bilingual (Hindi & English Both) except in the English section.

Stage 2: Skill Test in Stenography

Below is the detailed pattern that the candidates must know about the SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2022 Skill test in stenography.

• The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the Application Form) at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D.
• Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English Stenography and vice versa after their appointment, failing which their probation may not be cleared by appointing departments.
