The details for the payment of application fee for the post of TANGEDCO Assistant Engineer are given below: 

  • For OC, BCO, BCM & MBC/ DC: Rs. 1000/-
  • SC, SCA & ST, Destitute widow and Differently abled persons: Rs. 500/-

TANGEDCO Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2022 Selection Process

The TANGEDCO AE Recruitment exam is conducted through an online computer-based test. The selection process involves two stages which are given below:

  • Written Exam: The candidate is selected based on his or her performance in an objective examination, which is conducted online. The exam is segregated into three parts, which pertain to various branches of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science. Candidates are selected for the next round based on the marks they secure in this stage. 
  • Document verification: Once qualified, the candidate will be called for the next round of selection, i.e., the document verification. Candidates are asked to appear with the necessary documents, which will be verified by the Commission. After verification of the original certificate, the eligible candidates will be selected as per eligibility, merit of the marks in competitive online examination and rule of reservation.

Certificates Needed for Candidate Verification Post Selection

The certificates that the candidates must keep in handy for candidate verification includes: 

  • Provisional/Degree Certificate.
  • Differently Abled Certificate – For availing a special category reservation.
  • Studied Prescribed Qualification for knowledge in Tamil Medium.
  • Scanned copy of Community Certificate of the candidates belonging to MBC/DC, SC, SCA, ST, BCO, BCM. (Not applicable to OC candidates) in pdf format only.

The eligibility criteria for previous year is given so that Aspirants willing to apply online for the post of TANGEDCO Assistant Engineer can know the requirements that include:

The TANGEDCO AE exam pattern for the online examination is designed in three papers for engineering mathematics, Basic Engineering & Sciences, and Concerned Discipline. The TANGEDCO AE admit card of the exam will be released 10 days before the exam date. Before downloading the hall ticket, make sure you have all the necessary details ready that are required for login. You will require your TANGEDCO ID generated at the time of registration and your Date of Birth. Candidates should carry a valid print-out of the e-Admit card. Without the Admit card, they won’t be allowed to appear for the exam.
