Territorial Army Exam 2022 Vacancy

The Territorial Army Exam is conducted to recruit candidates committed to serving the nation.  A total of 13 vacancies are released for the rank of Lieutenant. These 13 vacancies are segregated into 12 vacancies for males and 1 vacancy for females.

Application Fees 2022

The application fee for the Territorial Army Exam 2022 Registration process is Rs.200/-. The payment should be made through the prescribed modes as mentioned above and payment through any other mode will be rejected. The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Age Limit Criteria

The candidates applying for the Territorial Army Exam 2022 must be aged between 18 to 42 years as of the last date to apply.

Educational Qualification

• The candidates applying for the Territorial Army must possess a Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university.
• Serving members of the Regular Army, Navy, Air force, Police, GREF, Military Forces, and like forces are not eligible.

Nationality

The candidate applying for the post must be an Indian Citizen (male and female).

Physical Standards

• The candidates applying for the Territorial Army Exam 2022 must be physically and medically fit in all aspects.

Employment Status

Territorial Army Exam Selection Process 2022

The selection for Territorial Army Recruitment is done through a written examination followed by an Interview.  A Service Selection Board (SSB) and a Medical Examination are done before the preparation of the final merit list. Given below is the detailed Territorial Army Exam 2022 Selection Process:

Step 1: Screening Stage (Written Exam and Interview Round)

Candidates who applied for the Territorial Army Officer Exam are invited to a screening. There are two sorts of exams in this category. The Paper 1 written exam will evaluate reasoning, and elementary mathematics, and the Paper 2 written exam will evaluate general knowledge and English. The interview round, which is conducted by the Preliminary Interview Board, is the second step (PIB)

Step 2: SSB Exam 

The candidates who are selected after the screening round will have to appear for SSB Examination.

Step 3: Medical Test 

Selected candidates will thereafter be subjected to a thorough health check-up and a physical examination per Military Hospital's requirements.

Territorial Army Exam Pattern 2022

The Written Test conducted for candidates applying for the recruitment of the Territorial Army consists of two papers, each with two sections. Paper I consists of Logical Reasoning, and Elementary Maths whereas Paper II consists of General Knowledge and the English Language. 50 questions worth 1 mark are asked from each section, making it 200 questions for 200 marks.

• Objective Type Questions will be asked in the exam.
• The level of difficulty for questions on Maths will be of Class 10th level while that of Reasoning, General Knowledge and English Language will be of Graduation Level.
• There shall be a negative marking of 0.33 mark assigned to the question.
• The qualifying marks shall be minimum of 40% marks in each part of the paper separately and an overall average of 50%.
