The West Bengal Board of Primary Education conducting the WB TET Exam for Paper I and II. The paper-I examination is for candidates who wish to teach classes I-V and Paper-II examination is conducted for candidates who wish to teach class VI-VIII. However, the board has released the notification for the Primary i.e I to V, the notification for the VI to VIII will be released soon. The candidates who wish to attend the exam should know the basic details like eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, etc.

WB TET Selection Process 2022
The candidates need to qualify in the West Bengal TET to apply for teacher recruitment. The first stage of the WBTET exam is the written examination which is conducted for 150 marks. After the written examination candidate’s final scores will be added based on Academic Qualification, Teaching Experience, and Personality Test.
WB TET Eligibility Criteria 2022
WBTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teachers (Class I to V)
The applicants must fulfill the following minimum eligibility conditions as prescribed by NCTE from time to time to be eligible to appear for the WBTET exam:
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd)
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
- Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
Note: 5% relaxation of marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination 10+2 (ie 45%) will be allowed for the reserved category candidates.
WB TET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teachers (Class VI to VIII)
Candidates are eligible to appear for the WBTET exam if they have:
- Cleared their B.Sc/B.A or equivalent education
- Cleared their B.Ed/secondary education exam with a minimum of 50% marks
- Qualified the final four years Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEIEd)
- Appearing in final two years B.Sc/ B.A/ Diploma in Education and clear the exam with at least 45% marks
